Word problem solving skills (e.g. branching, assumption, total unchanged, etc) will be developed and enhanced by varied questions

Fractions | –Achieve mastery of conversion between a mixed number and improper fractions –Solving 2-step word problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions |

Measurement | –Identify base and corresponding height of triangles –Use formula to calculate area of triangles –Use formula to calculate volume of cubes/cuboids –Find volume of liquid in a rectangular tank |

Ratio | –Find ratio of two or three quantities –Expressing ratio in simplest form –Solve word problems involving ratio |

Decimals | –Multiplication and division of decimals (up to 3 decimal places) –Round off decimals to a specifed degree of accuracy |

Percentage | –Express part of a whole as a percentage –Write fractions and decimals as percentage, and vice versa –Solve word problems involving percentage |

Geometry | –Find angles on a straight line, angles at a point, vertically opposite angles –Draw triangles from given dimensions using ruler, protractor and set squares –Understand properties of parallelogram, rhombus and trapezium |
